Finally is available from BBleaks the new OS 5.0 for our 8520 handhelds
Going to update mine now and see what's new on it

Interesting filename. Proceed at your own risk. I'd personally make sure that my anti virus software was up to date before loading.

Just finished installing it,device is updating atm.
About 30 minutes to complete all the update process.
I think I will love this new OS 5.0 ^^

Default how to upgrade

Hi,
I'm unable to upgrade.I tried through the Desktop manager its not detecting the new OS 5.0, when i try through the application loader i'm unable to locate the source file(I did install the os to my system).

you install the update in you computer and after that, you start desktop manager and it will automatacly detect an update available and install it in your BB.
It worked fine with me.

Default OS 5 Intstalled on my 8520

Hi ive put a leaked OS 5 on my 8520 as Orange still havnt issues the official release yet. Ive put v238 on and its working ok. One problem is that the call screen (when actually in a call) is dark blue with black text! So I cant read the text. Is this normal for OS5? I cant find a way of changing it, or is this just a glitch in having the leaked OS?

That's an OS Glitch. I'm running .411 and all is well.
