Can anyone advise? I am switching from a 9000 where I had an idea but with the 9700 I do not know.

If you feel compelled to change the OS without using the device first, use the version found at the top of the 9700 discussion forum. That's the latest version out.

I just ordered a new Camero, what engine would you recommend I switch to when I get it?

The latest official is also the latest leak. I think it's a pretty good place to start (.656).

Since it had the same release, platform and app numbers, yes it should be the same.
