Default How do you remove icons on the display screen? - 10-05-2005, 10:53 PM

Thanks for taking the time to check out my question. On the display screen of my 7250 there are like 20 icons. Is there a way I can just display the icons I want? (and access the others only if absolutely needed?) Part 2 of this question, my one work mate just got the exact same model and the internet icon wasn't there on the display screen. (yes, he has unlimited access to data) Any suggestions???Thank you in advance for your time.

Unfortunately you have asked two extremely frequently asked questions.

You really should use the search function.

The quick start guide with your phone tells you how to do the first part, the second is done from the website that you use to setup your mail.

Please start a new thread rather than attaching on to an unrelated one. Also make sure you read the FAQ and Guides as your question may have already been answered.

Call Nextel. They can add an 'extended ring' to your cell number at no additional cost.

press & hold the shift key and click in the track wheel on the icon you don't want; if you still can't figure it out RTFM.

Technically northshorekid is right except it's the 'ALT' key, not the 'SHIFT' key you hold. 8^)

*arms wailing* I know! I know how to hide or move the Icons!

1. Use the Wheel to select which "icon" you wish to move/hide.
2. Press <alt>
3. Press the "side-wheel" (NOT SCROLL)
4. Select *Hide or Move*

Wink doesn't work - 08-21-2006, 10:42 PM

Are their some apps that can't be hidden or removed because somehow I have two mail boxes getting the same mail and I wanted to hide one but I can't it doesn't give the option only to move it??? PS sometimes you can spend an hour searching for your answer without finding it. Sometimes its just easier to ask

I've had the same problem with the "mail" icons. I have two email accounts on my blackberry...but I also that that flippin' stupid "Messages" icon that just throws all the emails into one list. You can hide the other mail icons for your seperate accounts, but you can't hide the "Messages" icon for some reason....which I hate. I want to hide that one and keep the other two. I want my messages kept seperate. One email account is personal, the other business...I don't need the two clumped together.

Contact your carrier's BB Help Desk Support Line and ask for a RINGTIME soc to be added to your account. It will allow for up to 6 rings before calls go to your voicemail box.

Hope this helps

There is also icons that are actually, 'Pushmarks'.

You can only delete them by going to BROWSER, BOOKMARKS, BOOKMARK CHANNELS, and then deleting them in there.

Stuff like the Weather pushmark, and the Bplay icon can only be deleted there.

Cool. I removed icons and then showed the icons, my question is has anyone else noticed that when the icons reappear they are not as bright as the other icons?
