Default Trying to maintain over 700 Blackberry units - 07-28-2006, 12:34 PM

Hi All,

I am trying to find an application that can maintain over 700 bb unit information and user information. I am looking specifically to have all the unit/user information including name, pin, phone, model etc. in one app. I am using Excel right now but it becomes cumbersome if I have to replace a unit or a sim card and still keeping track of everything with detailed notes and search filters.

Is there an application that allows me to track everything there is in a user environment?

Thanks.

the best thing is to make a data base in Access.

Take a look at:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/bes-...nonadmins.html

I'm using the PHP version as primary inventory for over 2600 devices, and I'm sure if you ask the creators will try and add any field you need

15 Domino 6.5 Servers
6 BES 4.1.3 Servers
2613 Users
1 Constant Headache

Thank you very much for your replies orionpower and SimonMac.

Orionpower: yes a Access database would be great, however, to set it up is way over my capabilities. I need some advanced features like "if this unit is disabled does it go to the available Loaner Pool or is it defect" etc.

SimonMac, thanks much for the link. I will ask our system admin if that is something he can implement. If so I will find out if either he or the creator of this very useful tool can help me modify it.

Again, thanks for your reply. I will keep you posted.
