Default ??? Confused / do i have a virus ??? - 08-21-2006, 06:27 PM

I instaled some third party SW on my 7520 not going to mention the SW because i don't want to put anyones name in the dirt. Now my BB is not working properly.

Buttons don't work properly
Low Battery appers all the time
Lightning bolt does not apper when charging
Do a wipe handheld and it restarts with same problems
Do and Master Radio Reset with 0000 and it fails
Telus wants $200 to fix a six month old BB

???

There are no BlackBerry viruses. So that is ruled out.

Get a copy of JL_CMDR (search for it here) and download it. Completely wipe out your BB. Then reload the handheld OS.

Do not install 3rd party apps.

If it is still messed up, you have a damaged BB.

I installed:

41013dt-English.exe

Then

7250M_PBr4[1].0.2_rel40_PL2.1.0.14_A4.0.2.29_Telus.exe

My bb conected and disconected a few times during the instalations?

All that i can do now is start the Destop Manager, go to Application Loader and it tells me:
No system software was found for your device.
Contact your system admin or service prodider for info on obtaining device system software.

Locate and delete VENDOR.XML on the C: drive of your PC.

Make sure after you downloaded 7250M_PBr4[1].0.2_rel40_PL2.1.0.14_A4.0.2.29_Telus.exe that you installed it to your PC.

Then try to restart Desktop Manager.

The Application Loader Wizard starts then gives this message:

Unable to complete the loading operation

A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again.

Unable to communicate with the radio hardware. Please ensure that a charged battery is installed in the device and try the loading operation again. [P:0x0000000F]

I have come to the conclusion that my BB is dead. A big thank you to all that assisted with trying to get it going.
