Unhappy bb crash?!! 7520 - 11-19-2006, 06:24 PM

My bb would not receive emails or connect to the radio to make phone calls. Tried a different battery, took it out and tried to reset. Now it will not charge, even though the battery shows that it is charging.

Has anyone had this happen? Is it dead? It it is, how do I get the information that is on the unit into a new phone.

Any and all help is appreciated!

have you tried a search on it? I had to get a new 7520 a little while ago because the keys didnt work. If you have to get a new one make SURE that they do a "flip" on it because they will probably give you a old one that used to be a Nextel employees phone.....go figure. if they dont do a "flip" you wont be able to use it.
Apparantly they are notorious for that.

a flip? never heard of that, I work at an Indirect Legacy Nextel dealer and we do service and repair... it is up to the dealer if they want to carry "swap" stock on BB's because they are not a part of the service program... most dealers will have access to advanced exchange and if they place an AE before 2pm local time they will get a replacement Direct from RIM the next day...you can even request a replacement battery. Depending on what type of dealer you go to it can cost anywhere from $35-$55 if you do not have the service plan... If the store is a "full service" service center then it will most likely cost 35 unless you have a damaged display.... "advanced exchange only" service centers charge 55 no matter what to order a phone...whether it be a blackberry or not....

Thats why I carry the insurance on mine. Always have had to swap alot of the 7520s out when I carried it. Wish i would have made the switch to the 7100i before i went away and came back.
