Question bb cURVE 8900 will not receive calls. Everything else works!

Hello, just aquired a 8900 , after a new SIM /reset. Everything worked for about a week, now I can't receive calls. If I call my phone, I get the music while I wait for someone to answer, but the BB gives no indication that a call is coming in, no ring, no screen change, etc. I've drilled down in all the profiles and checked for the obvious. Even took it by an ATT shop where they pulled the battery and reseated the SIM, but no change. Anyone have suggestions? The last thing I did before I notice this problem is download a ringtone through my browser and set it so that's what someone hears when they call me (before I pickup.) When I call my phone, I get the lady saying I can listen to the music while I wait for someone to answer. I can even hear it ring through the other phone between a break in the music....

Strange but it sounds like the cell number was forwarded to somewhere. ATT should be able to fix the problem. On a chance the download caused the issue, have you tried to remove the ring tone? This may be a hard thing to do but do a wipe and start from the beginning and initialize the BB. If your unfimilure with a wipe, all it does is restore to factory the phone and leave nothing on it. You can do a backup for any contacts you have but I would not backup anything else. DM will offer selective data backup and restore. options/security/wipe

Okay...this issue is resolved. Thanks for the help. I finally took it to the Device support center and they discovered that my BB was fine, but my account settings back at the mothership had been changed and that was blocking my incoming calls. No further explanation, so I grabbed my phone and left. It was a freeby, anyway!
