Default Contacts noy syncing

Please Login to Remove!

I am on a BES and have a Tour 9630 and lately, my contacts have not been syncing with Outlook. My IT folks say that my device is syncing with the system and all looks ok on their end.

They suggested that I try and refresh my connection with the BES. I am not sure how to do this. Can someone help? Also, any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Which set of contacts is correct? BB or Outlook?

OK, open your contacts folder on BB > menu > options > (select outlook contacts list, uusally called "Default") > Ensure that Wireless Synchronisation is set to YES.

Is that the case?

If it is set to YES already, as per:

Useful Keyboard shortcuts for BES BB devices - BlackBerryFAQ

try this:

from the Options menu, type the following
RSET
Will prompt to erase & reload for a reload of the Address book
from the BES
(This will wipe all entries. You can goto SIM Phone Book & copy any SIM entries back afterwards)

Interesting - I went to the options portion and it says that wireless synchronization is "Not Available." And I tried to change it and it would not allow me to.

Firstly, try a battery pull:
With device running, take cover off and battery out.
Leave disassembled for 30 seconds
Reassemble
Check again.

Battery pulls solve all sorts of oddness. If it makes no difference:
Ask your BES Admin to check that address book reconciliation is enabled on your BES account. If not, the BES Admin can enable it.
If it is, have them "resend the service books" to the device. They should know how to do that.
