Default How Do I Get My Contact Info from Outlook?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello All, My wife just got the Blackberry 9930 from Sprint and I'm trying to get her contact info from Outlook but having difficulty. I can't get to that place to turn "off" wireless syncronization so I can import the Outlook Contacts. We had taken her old phone to the Sprint store and they could not transfer her contacts to the BB 9930. They told her to go to another store that had the right equipment.

Is there any other way to import contact data, i.e., using a csv file?

Thank you,
John

Install "Desktop Manager", which comes with the device (or can be downloaded from Cell Phones, Smartphones & Mobile Phones from BlackBerry.com) and it has a built in sync program (Intellisync) which will allow you to sync contacts, notes, calendar and tasks between the BB and Outlook.

Thank you! I had installed the Desktop Manager and had looked for Intellisync but it doesn't appear to be loaded. In the Syncronization section, I do see where you are able to select tasks, memos, calendar and contacts. After running sync, it says I can't sync because wireless syncronization is on and needs to be set to No. I couldn't find out how to do that either. I'll look for Intellisync again. Thank you again for any help you offer. John

No, she is not. She is on an ATT.net email account.

Thanks,

Email will not sync, you know, just contacts, calendar, notes and tasks.

Do you have the correct BIS plan set up? Since it is giving you the wireless sync option only, it sounds like when you loaded DM, you didn't select the personal plan but rather the corporate one.

Delete DM and do a clean re-install and select the proper (personal) plan and see if that will fix it.

I tried Dubdub,

Installed DM 6.0 but I believe the problem is in the phone. It will not let me shut off wireless syncronization. When I go to Options from Calendar or Contacts, it takes me into the Themes selections, which gives me no access to shut off the wireless sync. so that Contacts can be uploaded to the phone.

Thanks for any help you might offer.
