Make sure you didn't accidently hide the icon, move it to a folder, or hide it in a folder. Open menu and select show hidden. Repeat within folders. If it is hidden, then of course de-select hide in the menu.
Make sure it hasn't been deleted. Look in the applications screen in options and make sure it is installed.
If the above do not resolve, try a hard reset---with power on, remove the battery for about 30 seconds, then check again.
