Unhappy Sim problems.

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have an Unlocked Blackberry 8520, or so i think ;
Sim; Disabled
Network; Disabled
Network subset; Disabled
Service provider; Disabled
Corporate; Disabled.

Phone number- Is my correct number.

I can't call out or receive calls, how do I enable my services. The phone recognises that the sim is Virgin. But I can't get it to work. Have entered my PUK code and everything.

Phone was Wifes old "T Mobile".

Thanks

Ian

Your phone is definately unlocked.

If you try another sim in the phone does it work then?

Is the virgin sim activated?

The sim card works in my old LG Cookie, so yes it is active, Do I have to contact Virgin to enable it for the Blackberry, maybe ?

This may not be the problem but some users have reported that T-mobile had not released the blackberry with RIM and were unable to use the phone. The SIM at a minimum should allow you to use the BB as a phone. The other issue is some carriers disable the SIM if the PUC code is entered wrong. This may not be the issue but calling Virgin may be the best step. See if they can activate it for the BB data plan. If that works your all set if not you might try upgrading the OS to see if it helps.
