I receive up to 50 email alerts from our company per day, every day - when I return from leave, I'm looking at 300+ from that source. I've worked out how to search but is there an easy way to delete these search results rather than shift+scroll as this does not highlight all of them, in fact the highlight turns off after about 50 mail highlighted and I have to start again. I could press backspace for every email but 300 times? Any help for a sweep to delete all these search results in one go would be very much appreciated.

If the "senders" is ever the same, you can highlight the first mail that you received from them, press "Search Sender".
When the "search" function is terminated, highlights the "date bar" and press "Delete prior"....

That's the way I would do it. Except just search on sender on the first one you happen to land on, then use the "T" = Top shortcut to go to the top, then select delete prior. If you haven't read all of them, use the "U" = Unread shortcut to cycle through the unread messages, then delete prior.

FYI you can create saved searches, and then recall. For example use it for messages from a listserv that have different senders and different subjects.
