Question DS 6.0 - Outlook sync pbs

Please Login to Remove!

Hello experts !

I'm the happy owner of a BB Bold 9780 since Dec. 29th and I'm facing an issue with Outlook synchronization.

I've configured bi-directional synchronization for contacts, calendar and tasks so far. This works fine 90% but for some reason (?), some contact and (future) appointment creations / modifications set up in Outlook are not sent to the terminal.

It is only if I go to "advanced" configuration (even changing nothing, just clicking "OK") that those objects are updated on the terminal.

Using BB Desktop software 6.0.0.40 (tried latest release but the PC wouldn't recognize the terminal :O(.

My configuration for Outlook calendar :
- "Transfer future elements only"
- "Notify in case of conflicts"
- "No filter active"
- Standard field mapping.

Any ideas ?

Thanks,

YHR.

Not sure about the expert stuff but some of this may help.
Welcome to the Forums.

Some organizer data does not appear on my device after synchronization
You might need to verify your synchronization settings. In the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, click Organizer > Configure settings. Try the
following actions:
• Check the conflict resolution options for the organizer data that is not appearing. Highlight the organizer application. Click
Advanced > Conflict Resolution. Verify that the Ignore all conflicting items option is not selected.
• If some tasks are not appearing on your BlackBerry device, highlight the task application. Click Setup. Verify that the Transfer all
items option is selected.
• If some calendar entries are not appearing on your device, highlight the calendar application. Click Advanced > Conflict
Resolution. Verify that the Transfer all scheduled items option or Transfer only future items option is selected.
• If some calendar entries are not appearing on your device, verify that these calendar entries are not appointments and meetings that
you manage for someone else. If you use Microsoft® Outlook® to manage someone else's calendar, that person's appointments and
meetings do not appear on your device.
Duplicate organizer data fields appear on my device after synchronization
You might need to verify your synchronization settings. In the BlackBerry® Desktop Software, click Organizer > Configure settings. Try the
following actions:
• Highlight the organizer application. Click Advanced > Conflict Resolution. Verify that the Add all conflicting items option and
Ignore all conflicting items option are not selected.
• Highlight the organizer application. Click Advanced > Map Fields. Verify that the field mapping for each organizer application is
correct.
• Highlight the address book organizer application. Click Advanced. Verify that both the First Name field and Middle Name field in
your organizer application are mapped to the First Name field on your BlackBerry device.
