Post could my blackberry torch be fake?

Please Login to Remove!

i got this blackberry torch its seems fine and all. but when i was checking the imei no and pin to see if they match in the phone with that on the box i went to options on the phone then selected device, then device and status info. it showed all the details for my pin and imei. they both match but then underneath all that i spot something called a WLAN MAC: with number and alphabet but when i looked on the box to match it it says BT MAC: the number and alphabet all match except the last two on the the box it ends with 48 but in the phone it ends with B1.
does anyone know what this could be and mean?
WLAN MAC: ..............B1
BT MAC:.................48
thank you.
ps not sure if i should right the complete numbers and alphabets for security reasons but if its safe and you require it i can post it.

Hi there,

don't worry, there is no indication your BB is a fake .
MAC addresses are kind of unique IDs identifying your device in the networking world, so every connectivity device has its own MAC address. It's odd that RIM states the BT MAC (Bluetooth) on the box but not the WLAN MAC which is shown to you on the help screen, but it's the same thing with mine.

They are both different, because they are different things.
One is for WLAN and the other for BT [BLUETOOTH].
