Hi everyone...

My Blackberry 9300 intermittently cuts out the calls I make. Any call between 10 seconds and 2 minutes. This has been going on for 3 months.

When the calls cut out, you get that 3-note repeat call end tone. Yet the signal is strong; full bars. Also, the call quality is variable - sometimes incomprehensible - even with a good signal.

I've had the phone software reinstalled; the SIM replaced, (the new SIM works fine in my spare Nokia but the problem still exists when it goes back into the 9300); it's been to the repair centre 3 times and returned without them being able to replicate the fault on each visit.

Can anyone shed any light onto this frustrating problem!

Are you able to do everything else?. Are you sure the OS has been replaced? do you have any third pary apps installed? You can try replaceing the OS yourself and not installing any additional apps. Last resort replace the BB unless you can verify the your not on an overloaded cell tower that may be causing this. Also does this happen anywhere?

Everything else works OK; BBM, texts - until the calls are cutting out. Camera and music player always work.

A few apps; Whats App, BeBuzz, Facebook

The phone has been 'wiped' clean twice in store, which removed all contacts, photos and apps. I understand that the OS had to be reinstated after each wipe(?).

Problem has happened in different locations.

Wiping does not replace the OS. You can do it yourself if you want. Search on the forum for either upgrade or replace the OS. I suspect the store is just doing a wipe and re-installing your apps.
