My wife has had here Bold for a while and never backed it up, or connected it to a computer. I downloaded the Desktop Manager Software, for MAC. I had the BB connected when I launched the program. The first screen said, that applications needed to be updated, I went through the process, then hit the backup button (top right) I thought I was strange that there were only 1 file in the address book, I thought maybe it was 1 folder. Somehow all the contacts are erased. about 300, is there a way to find them? I know the answer, just need somebody else to say it so she dosen't kill me.

Look for a file extension .ipd on the pc
if it does not have the data you need then you may be out
of luck. Unless you did not follow the instructions about backUp
a file should be there.
