Hey guys,

This is my first post here.

Yesterday i tried updating my BB 9700 Bold to OS 6, however i was unable to update it. As it wouldnt let me even after deleting the vendor.xml file (maybe it has something to do with me being on a Windows 7 PC)

Previously when i would press the BB icon and get into the main menu and than again when i would press the BB icon on my phone i would be able to see an option that would say System Information. However now i do not see it.. Is there any way to bring it back? or have i messed up the software?

did you upgrade the OS your carrier released? I cannot find a carrier you show listed on the RIM site. Was this a beta release? you now need to re-install the OS designed for the 9700 to get the applications back.

No i downloaded the OS6 off another website (i think it was the leaked version)

I bought this phone in Hong Kong under the telecom company called: Vodaphone

Do i have to re-install the OS 5 all over again, is there no other way to fix this issue? Where can i download OS 5 from?
