Force WiFi for the web browser?

Hello, I have a Blackberry Pearl 9105 3G with BIS Enabled.

I mostly use my blackberry in the house, so would prefer to obviously use my own WiFI connection for faster speed, especially since 3G is extremely patchy in our area (moving from room to room results in 'no signal'!)

Is their any way to force the browser to connect over WiFi? I have searched the forums but can't really find a definite answer.

First, please update your profile to reflect the 9105. You currently have the 8220 listed as your current one.

If WiFi is available, they device will use it for data. But you need a BB data plan/bolt-on/etc to get RIM services, of which the BB Browser is one.

Are you using the hotspot browser or the BB browser? If the BB one, try the hotspot.

Does it connect to your WiFi router?

Hello, the blackberry is connected to both the mobile network (three) and my WiFi router. I have only been using the BB Browser, can you tell me how to use the hotspot browser? I cannot seem to find any icons for it

Its the same icon, but you change it from within Options [wrench icon] - advanced - browser configuration - top option change to Hotspot - menu - save
