Default calendar out of sync after trip

Please Login to Remove!

I recently went from my home in California to meetings in D.C. I changed the date/time setting on my 8830 to reflect eastern time. Upon my return to California, I changed the setting back to Pacific time. However, now my Outlook calendar appointments on BB are all three hours later than originally set. What was an appointment for 9:00 a.m. shows up on the BB as 12:00 p.m. These still show the correct times on my computer Outlook calendar, only the BB is off. I have been back two days and no change. Is there a re-sync command or something else to do? I did a pull-the-battery reset already, without positive results.

Thanks in advance.

Did you change the time back and then forward again, or did you change the time zone? If the former, I can't say what could have happened as I've never done that. And if you changed the time zone, there should have been no problem, and I wouldn't understand that either.

However, if you sync'd Outlook with the BlackBerry while the two were set to different times, that could explain your issue. Sounds like you are aware of that, though.

Don't know what in the above could have helped..... If it did, or you figure it out, post an update.

It's great to go to lunch with people who know what they are doing. I just got back and am back in shape. I originally changed the time without changing the time zone. After getting it explained, I made the time and the timezone correct and that did it.

I thought maybe you changed the time.

Another tip: If you schedule events or meetings or whatever in your calendar that occur in different time zones, enter the local time of the event and then set the time zone in the calendar entry. Then change the time zone setting for the device according to the time zone of your location.---Just remember to reset the time zone on the handset to same as computer and Outlook when you sync.
