As I posted above my contact at RIM offered no explanation except that they would like the pin of anyone who was getting the error. Shortly after providing my pin mine started working again. If you want to provide me your pin, in a Private message (PM) I can give to him. If you don't want to do that then call your carrier back and have them escalate the case to RIM.

I have this issue to.
I went to Kreta in Greece and when I came back the email installation didn't work.
In the installation menu, email account then it wont do anything.
When I'm in my email browser, pres menu key, then options, than emailaccount it would not open it at all.
Can I allso send my PIN to you and can you tell me when the problem would be helped?
