| Bold 9000 - SIM card problem Please Login to Remove! I have an oldish (2 years) Bold 9000 which until 2 days ago was working perfectly. I removed the SIM card to check if another old Nokia handset was unlocked, which it was & worked fine. When I returned the SIM to my BB, at the top of the screen, it reads "Insert SIM Card".
I checked it was in the right way - it is, cleaned the SIM & the terminals, checked via BB Destop that my software was up to date - it is (4.6) but still get the same message.
All other functions on the phone work - WiFi, emails etc & I can access my address book, SMS messages etc.
I contacted Orange - who promptly sent me a new SIM. But still the same problem. The BB doesn't recognise the SIM - or indeed any other SIM that I've tried.
The phone is in good condition, hasn't been dropped or had any water damage etc
I'm tearing my hair out here! Any help/suggestions/advice very gratefully received!
