Default How do i backup files to a new device? (same model)

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a new bold 9700 as my old one stopped working. Managed to backup everything a few months before but now when I connect the new device to the computer it doesn't recognise the new device :S do I need to reinstall the software or something? Thanks in advance

You need Desktop Manager installed on the computer. Then you can restore the backup you made.

I have desktop manager, but when I open it it doesn't recognise the new device :S

Do you have the latest version of Desktop Manager? Go to Cell Phones, Smartphones & Mobile Phones from BlackBerry.com and get the latest version.

What if I don't have the old smartphone anymore? Had to send it off :(
