Default Annoying persistent mail from Blackberry!

Please Login to Remove!

I have a client who has a Blackberry Pearl 8100. Email transfers from Exchange 2007 to Outlook 2007 to his phone via the Re-Deirector. 3 months ago he was receiving multiple daily emails in Outlook 2007 from:
network etp503102 etp us blackberry net
Subject: RIM_bca28a80-e9c0-11d1-87fe-00600811c6a2
This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server.
I uninstalled the Destop Manager and Re-director and cleaned his registry of all Blackberry entries from his XP Pro SP3 machine. Then re-ininstalled Destop Manager and Re-director and the persistent annoying emails ceased.
We did not delete his Service Books CMIME or CICAL although they do exist.
This past weekend his XP machine re-booted from an Windows Automatic Update and he was logged off for the entire weekend (not receiving email). When he logged back on his computer he immediately starting receiving email in Outlook 2007 (not on his phone) similar to the above. In an effort to delete his Service Books CMIME & CICAL from his phone, he claims he does not have an option to delete (he is hesitant to allow me to hold his phone). How can I solve this problem?

Fron everything I've read over the years, redirector stinks, has always stinked, and RIM doesn't support it anymore, and it's a waste of time messing with it.

So, I know I'm not answering your question. Why is the boss not moving on? Why stick with redirector?

Otherwise, best advice I have is search the forum. Maybe the redirector discussions are stilll here. It's an old, old topic. I think you'll find what I say above is the case: Forget about it. Move on. Use BIS (or BES).

But WHY are you using redirector at all?
Why not just integrate the user's email account using BIS? BIS will talk to OWA and mail will be delivered wirelessly without the need for any software on the user's computer.

BIS is free and the user already has it. (Included with their BlackBerry data plan.)
You just need to configure it.

Most likely because, I do not use a BlackBerry nor do I have any knowledge on how they communicate. I was looking into installing BES because I didn't realize that BIS interfaces with OWA. If you could elaborate, I'd sincerely appreciate it!

OK, I've got BIS relaying email via Web Access. Do I still need the Desktop Manager to sync calendars?
