My 9700 is rebooting after getting about 1/8th of the way through the start-up progress bar (this has started since it was dropped).

After reading some forum posts and FAQs I want to try wiping the device and reinstalling the OS however I cannot currently connect it to my Mac obviously and so need to run the 'Application Loader wizard' as referred to in the What_to_do_next_if_Jl_Cmder_will_not_connect_and_w ipe FAQ.

However I have a Macbook running OS X and so don't know how to do this as can only find instructions for Windows users.

Any help with this would most be appreciated, many thanks,

This is still "windows only". You can run windows on your MacBook, but I have found that keeping an old IBM ThinkPad around (Win XP) is a cheaper solution.

You can use the MacBook to upgrade your OS on the BlackBerry.
