Default 9630 Dialing Problems

I have an unlocked 9630 and have an odd issue. I can make and receive calls and texts with no problem. To set it up on the BIS I have to dial *136# and to check my available minutes dial *142#. (This is on the Digicel Aruba network.) It will not dial either of these. Any suggestions?

Are you using the <shift> or <alt> key to get to the *? Typically you just need to use the key with the * on it without using the <alt> or <shift>. Or are you abe to enter the correct characters and then the call fails?

I just dial it normally. It shows up on the screen but when you hit send it says "Calling" then "Disconnected"

That sounds like a carrier issue. Call Digicel.
