Default New problems synchronising 9700 with outlook

Please Login to Remove!

I am unable to synch my 9700 with the Outlook 2003. It never worked well but now when I try to configure the Calendar for the synch it gives a message that 'computer has to be connected to the internet..', which it obviously is as I have a brodband.

In desperation I used three different desktop software including 6, 5.01 and 5. The device software is 5. I also tried to do a complete wipeout of all data on the device and a new restore but it continues to give me the same message.

Please help.

Thanks for a quick reply but unfortunately it is not helpful. I have already not just disabled but completely removed the norton antiviral programme and the windows firewall is also turned off. The Microsoft Security Essetial is now installed but the problem was there even before its installation.

Any suggestions please?

I don't know if a clean uninstall and reinstall is a confirmed fix for your problem or not. But as you've already addressed antivirus and firewall applications, I don't know what else to try. See what others say.

Do a search on instrustions for a clean uninstall. A normal uninstall may not be adequate.

Thank you for your suggestions. I performed the 'clean uninstall' as instructed but unfortunately the same problem with'not being connected to the internet remains. Could not gind the Sticky at the top of the BB Help section "if your BB won't connect". Many thanks for any suggestions.

I'm out of ideas.

I'm assuming you did the desktop manager upgrade that was released a few days ago. I mean literally just days ago. But maybe in your distraction with troubleshooting you did not. If that is the case, you might try the latest ver 6 of desktop manager.

Other than that I don't have any ideas.

I did the version 6 which was released on 14th April, not the 28th because that was the one which worked before. I will now repeat the process with the very latest version although I assume they are the same. Thank you for trying to help me and if you get any new ideas please let me know please.

Make sure that you register with the network via the host routing table. that will resend your service books.

ALso try BBSAK - use Google to find it.

Thank you for your suggestions. I tried to do the clean uninstall for foth the BB desktop AND the Norton but the problem of sybchronization remains.

I am also unable to get rid of the Nortons' windows which pop up every time I turn the computer on. They are persistently present since the time when the Norton staff got hold of my computer remotely a couple of weeks ago trying to fix a problem with Norton. I can get rid of the pop-ups through the use of the device manager by deliting the LMI files. However, every time I turn the machine back the pop ups return until I delete them again. I suspect this may be part of the problem: any idea how to get rid of these remote access pop ups compeletely please ?
