8520 - Gmail - General Failure issues
I have an 8520 from Virgin. For the last week I have not been able to resolve an issue with Gmail.
A week ago we received a messaged to renter the gmail password. This was done but from that time Gmail has been unusable
Virgins Server crashed about the same time however here is what has been done
Upon resetting the gmail account. The account sets up and Synchronises ok. message to say emails in 20 mins
after about 20 mins General failure
Re verify password - OK
try and sent email instant failure again with General failure
What I do know:
Gmail account is ok via http
Downloaded Gmail app from Google and installed on handset and it works ok
HTC handset ver1.6 can access the gmail account.
Steps taken to date :
New service book pushed
Within the HRT re register
Gmail account on handset deleted, device reloaded via batter pull, account re-set up several times
Security wipe 3 times
8520 completely rebuilt with all software reinstalled i.e.reinstall version 5.x.x s/w
Has anyone seen anything similar in the past? Both myself and Virgin out of ideas at this time.

Have you tried setting up the account in BIS?
