Default Windows XP + BB DTM6.0 = BSOD

Please Login to Remove!

We have several laptops that are running Windows XP SP3 with the BB DTM 6.0 software.

After installing the DTM software, a number of the laptops started to get the BSOD. We have installed / uninstalled every Windows update after SP3, we have ruled out any other software or network setup. The BSOD ONLY happens if the wireless/bluetooth switch is on with a laptop that has the BB DTM installed. It could happen within a few seconds or hours but eventually most of our laptops encounter this problem

Our laptops are Panasonic CF52 Toughbooks, we have sent back many laptops and system log files to Panasonic service and as far as they are concerned their equipment is working fine and is not the issue. I tend to agree with them as we have hundreds of these laptops with the same setup minus the BB DTM and NONE of them exhibit this problem......zero.

All the laptop hardware drivers are up to date, and we have tried all variations of drivers.

We found some posts about similar BSOD and we removed all the USB hubs from device manager so that XP could rebuilt the drivers. We have uninstalled BT and Wireless and reinstalled. We have tried all of the above in different combinations at the same time as uninstalling and reinstalling the DTM software.

Any ideas of what else we can try to troubleshoot this problem?

Default Re: Windows XP + BB DTM6.0 = BSOD

Doing some reading on Microsoft's site there are indications this is caused by USB drivers either being outdated or conflicting. The only thing I found were indications of totally removing the USB drivers and downloading the latest available. If that is not enough there are also some issues caused by the Bluetooth hardware and software. Not that you need more headaches !
