my question is, the app memory is always at a minimum, if i want to download any others i almost have to delete an app first. is the info above normal? why out of 900 mb, the app memory has only 3.3 mb left but i have tons of room of device memory. any remedy or is this just how it is?

You need more than 3MB of free space for your BlackBerry to work properly. 12MB to 15MB is the level where things can get critical. Text messages start deleting themselves, then calendar events and emails can disappear. How many third-party apps do you have installed?

i think i have about a dozen apps installed, i keep all my text messages and emails deleted so not to waste space. i just cant see why i have so much device memory but so little app memory. why cant the apps utilize the gobs of device memory i have on there?

You did not list the apps but my guess is you have some big memory ones and that the issue. I have about 8 installed with 92 meg free.
