I left corporate life, gave back my Curve, and was left with my ex-corporate Win 7 PC. Bought a 7100G, downloaded the Desktop Software, and discovered how helpless I am without my IT team!
The 7100G, when plugged in, announces "Connected to desktop" and shows a picture of two devices moving data. It then changes to "connecting to desktop" and stays locked in that mode, even if I disconnect from the PC. The only way out is to pull the battery from the phone.
Meanwhile, the Desktop Software says "backing up don't disconnect", and eventually changes to "There was an error on backing up".
