I live in Tanzania, East Africa. I have BB 9000. We have a local Service-provider (3G) but no WiFi. For the last 2weeks i have been trying to watch and download videos from utube and other sites on my BB, but cannot. I keep getting 'error, check web address not valid.' I have tried everything, i have sought advice on other BB help sites and tried:

1) Switching off the WAP streaming
2) Going to mobile utube website to download videos
3) Trying to download rogers application v262 recommended software; no luck

Please help, i want to be able to watch/download videos from the web and use the BB to its full potential .. Otherwise, if i cant i see no point in having made the transition from nokia to BB, except ofcourse the BB Messenger tool.

I don't know what #1 means.

#2, What mobile site address are you using? I think the m.youtube.com is correct.

Also, do you have a BlackBerrry data plan? Not just a regular mobile data plan, but the service specifically for BlackBerrys.

What browser are you using?

#3, there are some players in app world (if app world is supported on your carrier). Do a search that others have recommended. Do a search on the forum.

Also, some people have been unable to get youtube video to play, no matter what they do. That could turn out to be what happens in your case.

I've never seen YouTube called a "Dire Emergency" before. If you don't have an official BlackBerry data plan, you won't get YouTube, or anything else for that matter.
