Desktop software version 6.0.2 will not launch
 

Hi all i have just purchased a BB torch and downloaded the desktop software version 6.0.2.
Every time i launch the desktop software it crashes and says a problem has caused it to stop working but no further information is given to me.
I have the blackberry device manager icon in my toolbar at the bottom right of the screen when my phone is connected but cannot launch the full software.
This means i cannot sync my new phone with outlook unfortunately as that option is not given to me via the small icon in the bottom right.

I have read up that it may be a problem when not using .NET framework 3.5 but i have checked and i have 3.5 and 4 installed. I have tried repairing NET framework 3.5 from the program manager in control panel but still no joy.
I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop software twice.

I am running windows vista ultimate SP2

Any help would be much appreciated as im a bit stuck regards getting contacts onto my BB
