Default BBM suddenly stopped working

Please Login to Remove!

Hello I am using a Bberry 9700 bold. When I go abroad and connect at my friend's wifi I always disconnect from the mobile network and use BBM without any problem. But recently BBM stopped working at my friend's place (abroad) although I can still browse the internet. The wifi sign on the top right remains grey. What happened??

If you have not upgraded or added any Apps then try a battery pull to reset the OS.
the gray WIFi indicates you do not have WIFI connection and are using the cell network. If you have a full BB Data plan call the carrier and see if they are restricting you.

Where exactly are you? For the last few days there has been a BIS over WIFI outage in some foreign locations (Europe, etc.)

Hi tsac, i already tried the battery pull and the problem persists; i cant use BBM over wifi only (while disconnecting from the mobile network) while i could use it before just fine.
