the screen on my 9700 got "pressed on" according to the tech. it was suddenly divided on two one side black the other one whitexxx65279; in a diagonal.the phone still works, you can recieve calls and hear notifications comming, and sometimes, on the white side the normal image comes back and you can see the menu and everything.is it the screen, do i need a new screen? or the little cable that connects the screen? anyone had this happened??thank you!

The tech is right. It probably got sat or stepped on. You will need a new LCD. And I wouldn't bother trying to do a warrenty exchange, breaking the LCD is not covered.

Screens are available but make sure it's the right one and only an OEM replacement
You must take it apart to tell which one you need. They were built with two different screens 04/111 or 01/111
Only get the one in your unit.
