Hi all... I got this issue with my new curve 8520... after installing v.5 of desktop manager I get to configure an internet connection (tethering) and make the connection.. desktop manager says it's connected and some Kbytes of data have been sent and received ...
after that, I cant open any page on any browser and the connection is reported as having no network connection...
can anyone help me on this, please? I spent 2 hours on the phone with my carrier's tech support , to no success :(

P.S. I even tried connecting with both my anti virus and firewall down, just in case I was missing any settings :S
yet another P.S. - tried using BB8520 as a modem on both a windows vista sony vaio laptop and a windows 7 starter edition toshiba nb500 netbook. on the vista laptop tried both v5 and v6 of the desktop software with the same results. on the netbook only tried a fresh install of the v5 desktop software.
one other thing... my carriers (TMN Portugal) wasn't listed on the carreirs list so I had to add it manually, using the settings provided by tech support.
