You must have a BB dataplan for email, BBM, maps and all other RIM related services. No way around it.

Hi

I have just discovered this after standing a telstra que for 20mins and then being told I have to make an appointment to see a technician and pay for the appointment!!!!
I went to JB Hi Fi the guy was extremely helpful spending almost an hour to sort it all out only to tell me I have to pay an extra monthly amount to access email
I am pretty p off as telstra market their BYO plan as being able to access data which is apparently free on any other phone except blackberry!
Roll on September and I will get an iphone 5 I intend to complain to the telco ombudsman as in my opinion telstra is breaching contract
