I have a 9780 and my on screen alert shows one facebook message. There are no outstanding messages but the alert will not go away. Any Ideas ??

Without stating what the alert looks like I would suggest you try pulling the battery to reload the OS. Same as rebooting a PC.

Thanks, I tried that. The alert I see is that little logo and the number of messages related to it that appears on the home screen when you get an email, facebook message or twitter message. It normally disappears after you open the outstanding messages.
