Default WIFI Problems with Netgear DG834G v5 Router

A strange problem with my Bold 9780.

I can connect wirelessly to my Netgear DG834G v5 Router and travel away from my house all day, on my return it re-connects to my router successfully.

If however I connect to a different wireless hotspot during the day my 9780 refuses to reconnect to my router again on my return home.

Deleting the saved wireless connection will not work as it still will not connect.

I am not using MAC address filtering.

I have to reboot my router before I can re-establish the connection.

All is well again until I connect to a different WIFI hotspot then back to the same problems.
