My girlfriend n I both have blackberrys and after a nice night of chatting on the messenger feature. She woke up to 30000's bbm messages. And yes I literally mean the amount I said before. Her phone is new and the people who messaged her are not on her list(bbm list) all this does is freeze her phone for half hour till total messages are loaded so far the count is (32659) there is no way to clear all, and no feature to end all. Please explain how this is happened, as these phones are meant to be "unique" this device is a new one. So nobody as used the pin before. Contract phone. If an admin can get In touch I can give more info if requested..

For anyone to get a BBM text the PIN MUST have been given out. Did she every put it on a web site or give it to anyone? Did she ever respond to any BBM messages from someone she did not know? Somehow her PIN got out.

Nobody as give the pin out as its a new device contract unopened.... I was the only contact. And even if there was a possibility of someone guessing it. Thirty thousand plus would not all send messages? These are NOT contact requests. These are messages of people whom are not on the list. Random spam with http links via blackberry! Maybe someone as created a blackberry botnet. Anything is possible..

Yes sir the phone was unboxed everything still wrapped. From the phone shop, and the phone is the latest bold, all I know is the message count keeps getting higher and higher. No person can get that many messages ever. Some of the messages are between two diff contacts.. Not group contacts. Its asif this blackberry was reciving everybodys bbm messages. The count is now 40000 plus, that's over 7000 msgs withing a few hours?? ( Not contact requests ) actual bbm messages. From ppl who are not on the list.the phone is becoming very unstable and very buggish

Maybe time to consider returning it for another "new" unit.

I tend to agree with Dubdub. I know of no other explanation. And it won't be the first time someone got a used device that was convincingly sold or bought as a new device.
