Default cant delete items on 8520

Please Login to Remove!

i have a few notifications from facebook and email in my inbox on my curve 8520 and they wont delete for me. if i go to the top when there are other items there and click "delete prior" it deletes the newer ones but still leaves the others. if i try to delete them individually it still doesnt work. all the notifications have been opened.
i cant figure out whats up and altho its doing no harm, its starting to annoy me a little.
any ideas?

Have you looked in the "Saved Messages"?

If you can't delete the messages even after making sure saved messages folder is empty, try a hard reset. That is, with power on, remove the battery for at least thirty seconds. Then check.

When something weird is happening, do a hard reset. Most of the time that will fix the problem.

this has happened again, loads of facebook notifications that wont delete, either if i try to delete them seperatly or all together via the "delete prior" option.
i can probably get rid of them again by taking out the battery but is there an easier way? anyone else have this problem?
