Hi i have a blackberry curve 3g and it is working fine indoors although when i go outside my phone will scroll up and down the screen with out touching the button in the middle. Then also when i am typing it will go into different languages and type with different letters and scroll up and down! I took it to vodafone although it is water damaged so therefore not covered by the guarantee and i didn't take out insurance. I took it to a phone shop and they said they put a new button/sensor although it seems to still be doin it.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I'd say the root of your issue is stated in your post. Not sure why it is fine indoors and not when outdoors. Maybe it is temperature, change in temperature.... Not sure. But when you mention water damage, my opinion is don't hold out much of any hope of fixing things.

Yeah the man said it might be the temperature, but the water damage i dont think it is that, due to the problem happening before the water damage happened.

Ok. New info. You didn't mention in your first post that the problem was occurring before the water damage. At any rate, this is OBE because of the water damage. If you could have returned it or exchanged it before the water, that would have been the thing to do.

I hate to say it, but I'm almost sure there is a hardware problem. You can go to the trouble of wiping the device and reinstalling the OS, with fingers crossed, but I think it would be a waste of time.

See what others say. Maybe someone has some thoughts on repair steps to dry that may be worthwhile. I doubt it, as I say.
