I have been trying to record a video for my Youtube channel. Sometimes as I record, the phone will just... stop. The bottom 'dock' goes black, I can't see the record/stop button, the screen goes black. However, I am still able to see the top bar telling me the time. This has happened 3 times, and I'm unsure of the cause. I have made videos with this SD card. It seems to only happen sometimes. I can record and it won't happen at all. It seems to happen when I try to prop the BB up on something. I was using a big bowl to record when it recently stopped. It seems to happen less frequently when I hold the BB with my hand. Is it that I am giving the BB too much physical shock?

I have a lot of media on my SD card. It came inside the BB, and I have never had a problem with it until today. I have a collection of videos, music, and pictures on this SD card. My BB can read the SD card just fine. It will tell me how much room is left on my BB,yet sometimes it will stop recording. After a few seconds, it goes back to the video recorder app, and it's as if I just opened the app.

Is there any pattern? See if perhaps it is stopping when you receive a new message or there is an alert.

What makes me suspect that is sometimes I see this with playback. A soft reset fixes it.

Try a hard reset and see if that fixes your problem. If it does, and if it happens again, try a double soft reset instead of a battery pull.
