I select my phone book to view contacts, it's empty, try to add one and it doesn't store it. However, if someone calls me it shows their name, if I got to my call log and select someone it displays all the information I stored in my phone book under their name.

Ex. Jane Doe calls it displays her name, if I try to save Jane Doe's number it won't save it, if I try to send Jane Doe a text message, I have to type in her number, but above the text box, it displays "Jane Doe".......

It seems that the contact info is floating in phone la la land, but my phone book is empty and won't store numbers.

I have tried to change the filters in the phonebook by does not help.

You might also open Contacts and use the Manu key to select Filters. Make sure nothing is checked.
