I have a problem with my Blackberry. I loose the 4 dots (the semi rim logo, next to the signal strength icon) all the time and everywhere. I noticed that when the dots are gone the push-notification apps like Whatsapp, BB Messenger or Facebook don't work (e-mail and Internet works fine). I spoke with the Vodafone tech support like a 1000 times and they say that everything should be ok.

The dots disappear even though I'm in a full 3G coverage area, GPRS, gprs... any time and everywhere. This Issue is driving me crazy because my apps are offline or non-responsive when they should be "live".

The problem is like it's described in the link below, but I have installed a newer software so is not really helping.

If you followed all the instructions including a wipe, it may be a defective blackberry. The device is a simple radio and can have receiver issues that casue this. I would try to borrow a BB and see if the signal strength is showing the same. If it is and the other works then you have a problem with the receiver. If the other also fails then the carrier has issues and this is not uncommon.

Also you should have tested this BEFORE you installed any third party apps to see if one is causing the problem.
