i am on my 3rd blackberry now.. the first one i had was completely fine! let me download aps.. everything!.. then i got my 2nd one and just did the whole backup the old phone and restored the new one.. then on this one i wasnt able to use any aps.. after many calls back and forward to orange they told me they couldnt see anything to show that there was anything up with the phone and said i needed to contact blackberry.. i am now on my 3rd blackberry.. and the same has happened again.. the message i get when i want to go on aps such as twitter or facebook.. comes up with 'you are currently on a service plan that does not support this application. If you wat to use this application please contact your service provider to upgrade your date plan' ... i thought maybe on my 2nd one there was just something wrong with the phone but now its happening to this one to? any help guys! desperatly needed!

That message you are receiving indicates that you do not have the proper BLACKBERRY Data Plan/Bolt On/Tariff required to access applications that use data. You need to contact your carrier's customer service and get the proper data plan.

If you have (or think you have) the correct data plan, have the carrier ensure that the new device is active on the carrier's BIS.

Doesn't sound like a device issue.

And make sure the PIN and IMEI are loaded into your. BIS account.

Register via the host routing table and do a. Battery pull.

whats a bolt on? or a carrier? or BIS?

what do i say when i call orange? as i have called them so many times and they seem to think i need to contact blackberry as its a problem with aps..

Carrier = Service Provider

You have "orange" listed as your carrier in your forum profile.

BIS = BlackBerry Internet Service

In order to use data features such as Facebook and Twitter on a BlackBerry, you need a special data service add on on your account.

Different carriers call it different things. Some all it a tariff, some call it a Bolt On, some call it a BlackBerry Data Plan, some call it BIS.

Call Orange (if that's your cell phone service provider) and tell them that you want to add the BlackBerry Bolt On Data Service to your account. A generic data plan add on will not work.

This is not a device issue. This is not a "app" issue. The problem is that you do not have the proper service set up with your carrier. Have them make sure that the device is properly set up in their BIS.
