I have a blackberry 8310 which was purchased as a simfree phone and I use a pay as you go sim from T-mobile and from January of this year my top up has been disappearing which is strange as I hardly use it so as an experiment I topped it up with £10 and NEVER used it at all and less than a week later the £10 had gone so I contacted T-mobile and was told that it was caused by blackberry charging for updates and there was nothing I could do to stop it now that might be right but I think that £40 in charges with about 4 or 5 short local calls is just a bit much and I can't seem to find out much information about these charges so it seems that maybe T-mobile might be wrong any help or information would be appreciated

Looks like they expect you to recharge for £10 every month on these plans. It appears they debit you the £10 each month whether you use it or not.
