| Duplicated contacts after restoring Please Login to Remove! Some backgorund on the problem:
I have a BB Bold 9700 running on 5.0.0.344, and I have an issue with wireless OS updates. Basically when my carrier (Telcel in mexico) launches a new OS version, or sends any kind of update my BB restarts and stays in the white screen, or its kept in a rebooting loop so I need to install the OS through desktop manager. This has happened several times so I prepared myself by doing all kinds of backups, and restoring my phone eventually became easy. But recently I noticed that my contacts appeared duplicated, and I just can't delete the duplicates. The problem:
When I restored my contacts form the last time my BB "died" I recovered my address book from a blackberry protect backup I had and form an ASCII Importer backup I had (since I sometimes edit my contacts using excel).
I didn't use outlook, mail or wireless synchronization.
If have already tried to delete the whole address book but it just leaves the duplicates, which I can't even edit. If i try to edit them I keep getting this message:
"Contact updated externally.
Changes will be lost and viewer closed."
Any ideas? |
