There's no such BlackBerry as a 9660.

Verizon can and will definitely block a stolen device. Call them back.

How is the person sending you messages using "bb messenger" if they stole your phone? Where are they sending the messages to?

Unless you installed an application such as BlackBerry Protect or SmrtGuard BEFORE it was stolen, there's no way to remotely wipe the device unless you are on a BES.

Change all your passwords on your email accounts and Facebook.

Sounds like your husband didn't have a password set to auto-lock the BlackBerry. You should report it stolen and have Verizon de-activate and block it immediately. If you get it back you can call Verizon and have the block lifted so you can use it again.

Something does not sound right. Verizon will block the account.
Call then with the account id and details. Ask for their manager if they say they cannot do anything.

If your husband is the account owner they may not do anything unless he personally calls.
