I accidentally dropped my phone on the floor and it turned off.
When I turned it back on, all of a sudden the screen became white and it said "WIPING" and literally wiped all my information...


I looked all over online and I thought the only way to wipe info was to do it manually or by entering the wrong password!

How can my phone be WIPED after dropping it? This is ridiculous...

Is there any way to fix this problem?

What BOLD do you have, as there are several on the market? Please update your profile with the correct model number, not name of the device.

When you dropped it, you might have done some internal damage which caused certain things to happen.

Have you tried a battery pull to see if that does anything?

I have the Bold 9650 I believe...

I tried taking the battery out and rebooting it twice but it continues coming up with the same white screen...

If i caused internal damage to happen and wipe out the phone, does that mean that I totally damaged the phone or would it be okay to use the phone after after the wipe?

Do you have a white screen when it boots?

Will it connect to either Desktop Manager or BBSAK?

You may need to actually wipe it with Jl_cmdr (see the FAQ) and then reload the OS. In any case without a backup, your data is likely gone.

It is difficult to diagnose without actually seeing it. You could have damaged it beyond repair or it might just need an OS reload.
