Default Blackberry tour 9630 confusion

Please Login to Remove!

Well my blackberry tour 9630 keys and buttons dont work. When i turn it on theres a red led light but it goes away and the screen turns on. The word "blackberry" then a bar under it loading it comes up and after thats over it starts up. But no buttons work. I guarantee that there has been no water before, during and after getting off the rollarcoaster. My brother has no idea and nothing online has helped much at all.
So i got my new unlocked blackberry tour 9630 from my sister. Then the next day i went to sixflags and it was super hot. Around 3 after getting off goliath. Know this: my blackberry was working perfectly until after the ride. I checked my phone and the screen was completely black. So I pulled the battery out and put it back in then it turned on but there was a red light. Eventually the light went away and my screen turned on. But then a pop up came up and said i had to confirm the correct date. However, none of the keys and buttons would work. After several attempts at taking out the battery and putting it back in it eventually just went to the home menu. The trackball would work but it would only scroll over icons but pressing down and all the other buttons wouldnt work. I had my brother dissemble it twice and clean it for me. He checked out the trackball senser but there was nothing wrong. There isnt any water damage although i suspect some sweat getting under the keys from sixflags. But my brother said that a little bit of sweat wouldnt do it. So my brother has restarted the OS 3 times and dissembled it 2 times with no luck it did not work. He says it might be a hardware problem now but still has no idea if its the motherboard or just the keys.

Im new to the fourms so please help me with this issue.
Any tips and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You "guarantee that they has been no water" but the you state that "i suspect some sweat getting under the keys".

Sorry to break the bad news to you, but sweat contains water.

You can try drying it out following the instructions in the BlackBerryFAQs, but the damage probably already has been done.

It got damp and is now most likely done for. As M-M said above, see the FAQ for an article on what to do if your BB gets wet, but I seriously doubt that it will work very well if it does dry out and start to work.
